CAUTION : Under the new ME it appears that the strength bars are no longer working as they did before. Currently you cannot test adaptability as we describe it here. If this changes this article will be updated. This was pinched from a thread that Crimson Kings posted on the forum How to calculate adaptability with great precision. Example player - "magic" from the Danish team. Stage 1: Play the (non FC) player as a lone FC. Then look at the team ratings. This was done at this game: http://trophymanager.com/livematch.php?matchid=24172410 Stage 2: calculate. For "Magic": Heading is 13-13.99 (cant know exactly) Finishing 9-9.99. Long shots 15-15.99. Let's assume its always in the middle. (13.5+9.5+15.5)/3=12.83 actual attack finishing rating from the game= 9.3. This is based only on "magic" because he was the lone FC in the line up. Lost percent: 100% - (9.3/12.83) = 27.5% Maximum lost percent for such repositioning = 40% Magic's adaptability = (40%-27.5%)/40% = 31.25% 100% adaptability = no loss in skills. 0% adaptability = maximum loss in skills (given by the manual) The way the maximum reduction is calculated is this: The possible reduction in player skill is lessened the closer a player is to his FP. The two axis "chain" and "side" are calculated seperately. For each "chain" (D, DM, M, OM, F) the player moves away from his FP, the maximum possible reduction is increased by 10%. The "side" reduction is more complex: If a player has only got a "wing" FP he will be reduced 10% for playing on the "wrong" wing and 20% if he plays a central position. If a player has only central FPs he will be reduced 20% if he is moved onto either wing. |

My coaches can handle well any training type in the game. However, there are ways to save money on coaches. |

When training players for later sale, you need to recognize search criteria and thresholds. Many people will look for an mc with 15+ passing and 15+ technique. No one will look for a 14+.

Suppose you have 5 players. They are very young. They seem to have the same talent. All have 7 in all their skills. They will sell for the same price. But they are different positions: DC, DC/DL, DMC/MC, DR/DMR, FC/OML. Who should you buy for training if your team does not have any preference based on a position you need urgently? |

It’s important to adjust the training to what's happening with player development. And I believe in balanced training. So I'll never train, say, a striker in heading and when its 20 switch to finishing. Instead, I'll switch all the time and keep the important skills approximately equal. |
