As the Cup gets into full swing around the world, injuries have a tendency to kick in to overdrive.  At least that's how it feels when you're in the midst of a title fight, or indeed, relegation battle.  TM Ireland asked Egyptian manager supremo, GT and NC for Oman, Donald Duck to see if he has any tips on how best to deal with the dreaded TM injury bug...

Some players have more injury proneness than others, it is a definite part of this game.

I am playing the game since season 7 and noticed that a lot of injuries in my team and unfortunately they were the highest asi players.  But there is no difference throughout the game between high asi players and low asi players in injury proneness but it was just a matter of bad luck in my team.

Q: what shall I do to prevent my players from getting injured?

A: 1)of course upgrading physio room is a very good decision but not all users should upgrade it.
*If a team has a huge number of excellent players and his substitutes can replace the injured player, he doesn't need to upgrade the physio room as he will pay maintenance cost for a facility that he doesn't need.

*but if a team has no good substitutes, then a Div.1 team should upgrade the physio room to level 10 as 1,000,000 maintenance per week is not that much for premier league teams.   A Div.2 team should upgrade it to level 7 at maximum or to 10 if he is astonishingly rich and can pay the maintenance costs from interest.   If the team is playing in Div.3 or below, level 5 is enough for them or they will be screwed if they get past that.

2)heating and pitch draining.  They are good for sure but they should be built up only if you are able to tolerate the 25,000,000 building costs for both and 375,000 maintenance per week.  Don't build them except if you are rich enough or playing in international tournaments.

3)sprinklers and pitch cover.   These are worth upgrading and they are cheap regarding both building and maintenance costs. You can upgrade them even if you are playing in Division 4

Q:What should I do to heal my players faster?

A: of course you need to upgrade your medical center but take care of its maintenance costs as level 10 maintenance is about 10,000,000 per week

You should upgrade it only if you can tolerate the money deducted each week and to a level appropriate to your economy balance.  Each level increases the chance of faster healing by 10% till it reaches 100% faster healing at level 10

Q: Are keepers more injury prone than field players?

A: No, but some of you are thinking that because most teams have only 2 or 3 or even 4 GKs at maximum, compared to about 30 field players.   So when your best GK has got a serious injury, you will feel that GKs are more injury prone.   Most teams do not have an adequate replacement for their best GK. When your best midfield player gets injured, you are more likely to have substitutes.  You could even play players out of position.  An option that you do nto have for keepers.

But I have noticed that 2 GKs may be injured in the same match and this happened a lot.   It doesn't occur that often in RL and i hope that the new ME can solve that problem.

Q: Do players become more injury susceptible as they get older?

A: no but it may be some bad luck for the team facing that issue or it may happen if only the player is losing so much physical skills, but this is only happening for very old players (35 years and above)

Q: can a player be injured when i change his position?

A: no as long as he is not an injury prone player, he is not more likely to be injured playing out of position even if he has bad adaptability.

Q: why do teams playing in lower divisions get more injuries than higher divisions teams?

A: Low divisions clubs generally have less developed pitch facilities so players are playing there in very bad stadiums and you will notice that when you become promoted to high divisions as i noticed myself.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
