Ireland continued their Euro warmups in Mysłowice and took on Poland at Trójkąt Trzech Cesarzy stadium.  Both sides were presumably looking to experiment a little in the lead up to the champs.

Ireland seemed in good form early, shortpassing to give D. Kenny a half-volley chance.  Polish keeper, A. "Maciej Korytowski" Konopka, was on his toes and saved in style.

On 6 minutes the Poles were forced to substitute A. "Best Buy" Kudyś due to injury with W. Telak.

Poland attacked with a long ball on 10 minutes through K. Flisak.  M. Kiełbowicz fended off C. Brooks and tried his luck with a header from the edge of the box, but A. O'Brien denied him.

Shortly after W. Siwiak got around D. Kenny on the wing. He got his cross away to M. Kiełbowicz who headed the ball straight at goal - but A. O'Brien had him covered, however.

They attacked again on 30 minutes. K. Rej nodded the ball at the net after a superb wing-attack from the Poles, orchestrated by A. Przystupa. M. "The Kid" Simpson's marking was lacking.

Four minutes later the Irish had a great opportunity to take the lead - C. Tyrrell chipped a through ball forward. G. McDonough made his way past M. Słomczyński and drove the ball straight into the net from 30 meters - a beautiful strike and 0-1.

Into the second half C. Tyrrell received a long ball from G. McDonough for a header oportunity, but the Polish keeper was interested in making amends for his previous lapse and saved.

At the 50 minute mark W. Siwiak gave M. Kiełbowicz a chance for a header.  A. O'Brien made the save, then got all verbal with M. "The Kid" Simpson who was having a bit of a shit game.

Around 15 minutes later M. Kiełbowicz sent K. Rej  on a breakaway. M. "The Kid" Simpson missed a tackle but A. O'Brien got to it anyway.

Into the final ten and C. Tyrrell got a pass from G. McDonough, but his subsequent shot was well-saved.

Poland got a counterattack on 84 minutes and S. Szala put on a powerful shot from the distance, but missed the net by a couple of inches. A. "Maciej Korytowski" Konopka orchestrated the attack with a solid throw from the area.

With just two minutes to go G. McDonough lined up a freekick.  Fired it over the wall and into the top corner - 0-2 Ireland.  And that's the way it stayed.  Top match from McDonough, but disappointing games from Sheen and Simpson.

A more attacking mentality increases the chance to score and the chance to allow goals. While the developers have not yet stated how it works exactly, my assumption is that...
