The first Crusades were a series of military expeditions promoted by various popes and kings to protect the holy city of Jerusalem from invaders. Though they began as completely religious missions, just about anyone could find a self-serving reason to join these holy wars of prophets and profits (pun intended). The term crusade has come to mean any military effort by Europeans against non-Christians. Anyway, enough with the history lesson... Crusaders are all set for their second bite of the LOI cherry.

• So a quick return and a second crack of the whip at the LOI. Congratulations on a fantastic season. How does it feel to be back in the big time so soon?

Am delighted to be back on the first time of asking. Have played more games in div 2 than most and its great to have a crack at the best teams in Ireland in season 19.

• Interestingly enough, despite your success over the years, this was your first time to win a division. Does it feel any different being promoted as a Champion??

To be honest going in to the last game of the season it looked like a playoff against the hoops for the third season running so was just glad to avoid that.

• You finished ahead of some top sides this season to win the title. Do you believe Div 2.2 is the toughest Div 2 group? If so, why?

Not sure if 2.2 is the strongest. All div 2 leagues are very difficult to get out of and you need a bit of luck to get out of any of the div 2's

• 16 seasons playing TM. What keeps you coming back for more?

I really don't know, when i started i made all the wrong decisions in TM and i am still in a process of correction. That’s probably what makes me keep on coming back.

• Some very solid individual performances from your lads this season. Who was your personal player of the season?

A great team push last season but i would have to say my DC Clinton Whitley. He has had over 100 yellow cards for us down through the years but when he plays he is often the difference.

• Your Youth Development is at level 8 but your Training Ground only at level 5. Any plans to improve now that you are back in the LoI?

Training ground under construction as we speak, possibly level 7 by the end of the season. no plans to expand anything else.

• Any young stars coming through your setup that we should keep an eye on?

haven't had the best year with regards finding good youths. fingers crossed one or two will find their way to my squad very soon, badly needed.

• You were unlucky to be relegated last time out (finishing 13th ), are you better equipped for the LoI this time round?

I really think it will be touch and go this season, not as happy with my squad as in season 17

• With the standard of the lower leagues improving all the time, how hard will it be for new sides to reach the LoI in coming seasons (or will it be virtually impossible)?

i am proof that unless you constantly make good decisions you might always be playing catch up, however if are clever and have a little fore sight i have no doubt a good manager can eat up the divisions.

• Who would you most like to beat next season?

Le sharks, alway Le sharks, They need to be taken down a peg of two. i look forward to every game in the league as every team is decent.

• Ouch! J Will you be splashing out during the NT sales?
No money to spend on players this time i'm afraid

• Season 19 in the LoI... your predictions please :)

i would be happy with a playoff game to stay in the division. for the title i would say its anyone of the top 5 from season 18, i think there is very little in it... maybe le sharks... just
