Well first things first: luckily Bosko Balaban is still alive and playing for Dinamo Zagreb.

He struck a brace in his first game of the season and I’m sure I can speak for the rest of TM Ireland wishing him the best for his illustrious career. Anyway back to Div 4.3 and honestly I’m delighted to write about this division for this round as it was nothing but high class action from start to finish. Here’s 5 of the best games.

Markchester United 2-3 Mazza United

This game was history in the making as it was the first televised game with the new MOTD feature and what a game, with attendence only 17 short of capacity. The bookies had the screwdivers down as the early favourite but after 6 minutes it was the Mazza faithful celebrating as B.O'Brien headed home a good fine looking corner from S.O'Farrell.  Although things got bad for Mazza as the man of many set pieces S.O'Farrell was forced off with injury as the clock struck the half hour.  All was forgotten just 5 minutes later as super subsitute A.Healy struck a beauty from distance after a perfect solo run. The weigans were looking high and pretty until 3 minutes from the break, but Markchester pulled one back with R.Wilson striking the ball in its sweetspot from a B.O'Keeffe cross after leaving the defence hiding in fear.

Although 5 minutes into the 2nd half the news wasn't good for the screwdrivers as star striker L.Scott tripped and sprained his ankle leaving him out for the next 6 games. Three minutes after the hour Mazza United caught their third and B.O'Brien his second with a weak shot that suprised the opposititon keeper causing him to fist it in his own net.  In the last 4 minutes it was an all-out attack for Markchester United with C.Whelan getting their second from a furious header off a J.Power cross into the back of the net. The final whistle came resulting in just the second loss of the season for league leaders Markchester United.

Duns Devils 0-3 Flamin Magpies

The sun shined down as Duns lined up with a 4-4-2, slightly defensive and a balanced attacking style, while Flamin Magpies had a 3-4-3, slightly defensive and a balanced attacking style.  And it was the flamers who took complete control from the start.  Just taking 4 minutes for them to score with B.Maher rounding the defender and passing the ball into the net.   Just when the fanclub calmed down they were back celebrating 6 minutes later, as D.Mitchell kicked the ball with his lucky right boot into the far post, getting a much needed security goal. For the rest of the half it was all about the Magpies attack while the Duns attack could only register 2 shots with just 1 on target.

The 2nd half was the much needed revival for the Duns, but sadly the dubs faithful were left dissapointed by the performance.  They conceded their third when A.Flanagan curled a freekick into the box where B.Maher met the ball unchallenged and headed low and hard.  It didn't get any beter for the duns devils with J.Boyle injuring his knee and to miss the next 7 games

MoM=R.Murtagh (Flamin Magpies)

Rovers 3-0 Bode United

Surprisingly it was the away team who had some of the early attacks on goal but on 34 minutes striker C.Johnston had to come off with a thigh injury to be replaced by J.Sweeney. It didn't get better after that as 3 minutes into the 2nd half Rovers United got their first as J.Murray struck the ball from 25 meters.  The game got better and better for rovers united when they got two goals in the space of a minute with M.Corr and J.Murray grabbing the scores.  With 12 minutes left, Bode United winger S.Fagan injured his leg with a wild volley to be rplaced by J.Meehan.   He couldn't spark a revival and the game finished 3-0 to the RUn.

MoM=A.Jarosinski

Atletico SuperSheep 2-0 Tedium

While there were no goals in the first half it was still quite entertaining for the neutrals with the baa baas applying some much pressure.  They couldn't capitalize and both teams went into dressing rooms goalless.

When the clock struck the hour the game got the goal it needed and it was the home fans celebrating, T.Palankov hit the ball into the far corner after D.Healy stuck a long ball towards the opposition half.  And with 4 minutes left Atletico SuperSheep got the security goal they needed when winger C.Griffen headed a great T.Kula cross to bring them to ninth in the league, while Tedium drop into the relegation zone.

MoM=C.Griffin (Atletico SuperSheep)

Leeverpool FC 2-0 Red-Evils

 Both teams entered the rather dreary looking Jambo Arena, Leeverpool in a 4-4-2(def), somewhat attacking and using a balanced attacking style and the red-evils had a 4-4-2 formation, slightly defensive and a balanced attacking style.  Six minutes after the starting whistle the dutch dynamo P.Van Den Oetelaar got his third of the season after T.Tierney chipped the ball through the defence.  After the first goal the game rose to life as both teams played nice attacking football.  The red-evils winger D.O'Neill coming closest but the Leeverpool keeper made the nice save to keep it 1-0.

The second started in similar style as the first ended with shots at both ends, keeping the fans entertained.  But it was the dutch dynamo again who headed home his second of the game, with R.Bita supplying the precise cross, lifting the Leesters to 2nd in the table.

MoM=T.Tierney (Leeverpool FC)
