Boher Brigantes is deffinatly a team on the up,he started out in season 12 where he was the whipping boys conceding no less than 104 goals and only scoring 28 in reply,a staggering -76 goals against, things got even worse for him the next season, loosing 30 of his 34 games and conceding a whopping 138 goals and in reply only scoring 31,goal difference was nothing to be proud of,standing at a whopping -107. Season 14 turned out to be the turning point for this up and coming club,he went from being the whipping boys,to title condenders overnight, what was his secret? only he knows, but what a turn around it was, ending up finishing 3rd and in the process, shoring up his defence, only shipping in less than half from previous season. Season 15 got even better, finishing higher than any other team in his division, and claiming the trophy, and a position in div 3.6. Was it because of the foreign imports he bought, was it tactics that got him to where he is? the answer is,it doesnt really matter, all that matters is this season, can he survive?can he do the double? This season will really test him,but in buying Wilson(a DMR) for 24.7million just before the end of last season,he surely concentrating on tightening up his defence even more.will it be enough though? in goal will be most likely Fitzmaurice,a good keeper who chips in with the odd assist, and although he is at a ripe age of 31,i am sure he will have a few years left in him,for cover he also has his new polish keeper, appropriatly named Stopczynski who could even be picked ahead of fitzmaurice for this season.
Leading the line in defence is none other than 29 year old Callan, surely last seasons player of the season for boher, the DC also chips in with his fair share of goals and assists. He certainly brings the rest of the defence together when things don't go according to plan.
Midfield is a bit multi-lingual,but that doesnt matter on the field as we all know,it is all about movement and understanding each other, and will they be able continue their form from last season against tougher oposition? only time will tell. Up front is going to be a head ache for the manager,as he got quite a few players to choose from, who will he pick for this season? who partners up well togehter? surely Barry will be looking to keep his place by continuing his form from last season, alonside him could be any of the other strikers,as they all have the capacity to notch a few goals, maybe a rotation system is being played, competition for places is always a nice head ache to have :)
A mention must go out to the academy too,he seems to have some nice looking youths coming through and i wouldnt be surprised to see some of them having a run out this season.
predicted league finish= 9th-12th,will hover just over the relegation places, but will do just enough to survive.
